Azura Memory Care

Azura Memory CareHelping to fight Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, Holiday Vacations has matched funds raised dollar-for-dollar towards the 2017 Azura Memory Care City Wide Thrift Sale.

Azura Memory Care is a local organization that provides training and resources to those with memory loss needs and their caregivers. In fact, Azura built the first memory care home in Eau Claire in 1996 and today plays a major role in memory care in this area of Wisconsin.

Holiday Vacations has matched funds raised, dollar-for-dollar, for up to $10,000 for the 2017 Azura of Eau Claire City Wide Thrift Sale, held Saturday Aug. 4, 2017 at The Shed in Altoona, WI.

Hundreds of families in the Chippewa Valley and beyond have donated a variety of items including school supplies, clothing, craft supplies, tools, and more. Azura has been hosting the thrift sale for 10 years, and this year they smashed their record, totaling their funds raised (including Holiday Vacations’ contribution) to more than $17,600.

Proceeds to the Thrift Sale go to the Alzheimer’s Association, the country’s biggest nonprofit funder of research for Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association provides a wealth of tools, services and information for those facing these diseases, their loved ones and caregivers.

We thank Azura Memory Care and the Alzheimer’s Association for caring for the people in our community with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

Holiday Vacations has been making contributions to Azura Memory Care since 2013.
