Daily Itinerary Items

Day 1 : Fly to London
Joined by our Tour Director, we rest and relax during an overnight flight to Great Britain. 

Day 2 : Windsor Castle
Morning finds us arriving at London';s Heathrow Airport. Warmly welcomed by our British Blue Badge, noted as the U.K.'s most qualified tour guides, we depart for the charming English village of Windsor, home to Windsor Castle. It is the oldest and largest continuously occupied castle in the world and official residence of Her Majesty the Queen. Special highlights include the State Apartments, St. George's Chapel and Queen Mary's Dolls' House. Late afternoon brings us to our modern London accommodations where we enjoy a fabulous four-night stay. Tonight enjoy a festive Holiday Vacations Welcome Dinner with our fellow travelers. D

Day 3 : Tour London
After an included breakfast buffet, a Blue Badge Guide introduces us to the iconic landmarks, renowned museums and beautifully manicured parks of this dynamic capital. We arrive at the Tower of London. Founded by William the Conqueror in 1066, this enduring fortress houses both Britain's Crown Jewels, and a medieval collection of armory and weaponry. Snap a picture of neighboring Tower Bridge as we cruise the River Thames. Later, we partake in a full afternoon tea complete with finger sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream. It is truly the perfect end to our day's scheduled activities. B,T

Day 4 : Bath & Stonehenge
discover two of the area's most famous landmarks: the Roman city of Bath and Stonehenge. Arriving in Bath, we are introduced to the charming characteristics and cultural richness of this historically unique honey-hued city. See the Bath Abbey and enjoy leisure time to amble the streets in search of souvenirs after we tour the sacred site of the Roman Baths. Once a magnificent temple and bathing complex, its extensive ruins and artifacts have been well-preserved, and the naturally heated waters still bubble today. Noted as the most recognized prehistoric monument in the world, few places have generated more speculation than the mysterious circle of standing stones known as Stonehenge. Our included dinner this evening is at an authentic English pub. B,D

Day 5 : London at Leisure
Imagine the excitement of setting off on foot, either independently or with your Tour Director, in search of the London you have always envisioned! Listen as Big Ben's chime announces the top of each hour. Peer through the intricate wrought iron gates of the royal parks. Watch the Changing of the Guards or climb aboard the London Eye for unparalleled views of the city. Evening finds theater-lovers migrating to the city's West End featuring a variety of shows, restaurants and the neon lights of Piccadilly Circus, Britain's version of Times Square. B

Day 6 : Edinburgh
Today's rail journey will be a true highlight as we traverse the English countryside and Scottish lowlands, arriving at Waverly Station mid-afternoon. Greeted by a local guide and driver, we are introduced to Edinburgh's ancient pageantryand historic landmarks during a tour of this fascinating city. B,D

Day 7 : St. Andrews & Fishing Villages of Fife
Today visit the breathtaking countryside of Scotland as we make our way to St. Andrews, the legendary birthplace of golf! We view the Ancient & Royal Golf Club located across from the sea. Visits to St. Andrews cathedral and the university where Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge began their romance will round out our time here. In the afternoon, we travel west to the ancient kingdom of Fife and visit picturesque fishing villages including Falkland, which is currently used in the filming of Starz' series Outlander, based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon. B

Day 8 : Holyrood Palace
This morning we visit Holyrood Palace and learn about the mystique of Mary Queen of Scots. The afternoon is yours to make personal discoveries while exploring the winding streets of Edinburgh. Tonight we celebrate Scottish traditions at the magically historic setting of Prestonfield House. We are treated to a spectacular evening with exceptional entertainment as kilted waiters serve us a gourmet dinner, and we toast farewell with wine. B,D

Day 9 : Fly Home
We bid farewell to Scotland's capital to return home. B
