Australia has been a long-standing favorite destination for us and our travelers. We have worked with most of the places our tours visit for many years, and have built lasting relationships. This year has been an especially challanging year for Australia as they have been battling severe bushfires. While the places we visit on our tours are not heavily impacted by the fires, these organizations are hard at work helping countless communities and wildlife.
In response to the regional bushfires in Australia, Holiday Vacations is donating $75* on behalf of each guest visiting the country with us to the following organizations:
NSW Rural Fire Service
The New South Wales Rural Fire Service is a volunteer-based firefighting agency and statutory body of the Government of New South Wales. Donations made to the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS), directly benefit volunteer firefighters.
Zoos Victoria is a world-leading zoo-based conservation organization, dedicated to fighting wildlife extinction.
Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital
It all began with Steve Irwin’s mother, Lyn Irwin – a pioneer in wildlife care and rehabilitation whose dream was to build a facility that could take care of wildlife in need. The Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital is giving injured wildlife a second chance. As one of the world’s largest and busiest purpose-built wildlife hospitals, they’re playing a vital role in saving Australia’s native species, one life at a time.
*Each organization will receive $25 USD per traveling guest.
