Holiday Vacations has cancelled all 2020 departures for Railroading in the Canadian Rockies, Railroading in the Rockies and Montreal, Quebec City & Canadian Maritimes tours. Our partner in these programs, VIA Rail, will not be operating its long-distance trains until November 1, 2020. Due to the volume of cancellations, we appreciate your patience and continued support as we reach out to each affected guest.

The health, safety, and well-being of our guests and employees is a top priority. Holiday Vacations will not operate a tour to a country or area that at 45 days prior to departure is classified as Level 3 by the CDC, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Guests are protected by Holiday Vacations’ Book with Confidence: Travel Assurance Booking Policy

  1. Guests will receive a full refund if they cancel their tour reservation for any reason prior to the scheduled final payment date.
  2. If Holiday Vacations cancels travel after the final payment is due:
    1. Guests can transfer to another tour that departs within thirteen (13) months of the original scheduled departure and receive a $200 per person travel credit. If the tour the guest transfers to has a lower price, the difference will be refunded. If the tour has a higher price the balance will be due at the final payment date for the new tour.
    2. Or, guests can receive a 100% refund for the tour Holiday Vacations canceled and receive a $100 travel credit for future travel.
  3. If Holiday Vacations is operating a tour and a guest cancels because of concerns regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) between the scheduled final payment date and eight (8) days prior to the departure date, Holiday Vacations will waive the cancellation fee and apply the amount of the cancellation fee as a credit toward a future tour. The travel credit must be applied to a tour departing in 2020 or 2021. Regular cancellation fees apply if a guest cancels within seven (7) days of departure, or if a guest cancels for other reasons.  Insurance premiums are not refundable after the scheduled final payment date.

This policy is in effect for all reservations made prior to July 1, 2020.
