The adventure continues on a breathtakingly beautiful cruise of Lake Achensee, the largest lake in the Tyrolean Alps.

Next we tour Tratzberg Castle with a knowledgeable guide. Discover how this Renaissance-era stronghold demonstrates Gothic, Habsburg, and Fugger influences in its exquisite parlor, courtyard, King’s Room, and more.

Day 6 : Neuschwanstein Castle

Today we explore the inspiration for Disney’s Magic Kingdom Castle and one of the most recognized castles in the world, the fairytale-like Neuschwanstein Castle. Day 7 : The Oberammergau Passion Play

We experience the Oberammergau Passion Play today. In the 17th century, the people of Oberammergau made a holy covenant to portray the life and death of Jesus every 10 years if a plague would spare their community. Now a worldwide phenomenon, we feel the passion in our hearts as the incredible story unfolds before us featuring an impressive orchestra, choir, live animals, and more than 100 actors with speaking roles.

Bill comes to 10/11 News after serving as a reporter and anchor for KOKH in Oklahoma City. He has previously worked as a journalist in Lincoln and also spent time reporting in Fargo. Bill was even an intern at 10/11 News back in Spring 2010!

As a wide-eyed third grader, Bill’s interest in journalism started with early wake-up calls to watch the 6 a.m. SportsCenter. Although his love for sports has never faded, after graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he developed a passion for storytelling. He’s an award winning and Emmy-nominated journalist who’s proud to once again call Lincoln home.

When he’s not on TV, you can find Bill and his wife, Kym, exploring everything Nebraska has to offer.
