Discover rich heritage and jaw-dropping scenery from the glitz and glam of Las Vegas to the boundless expanse of southwestern deserts. Spend two nights in Las Vegas with a guided tour of the Mob Museum and free time to stroll The Strip. On our way into Arizona we’ll marvel at the Hoover Dam, then experience the Grand Canyon and a scenic train ride on the Grand Canyon Railway. En route to Phoenix we’ll stop at Montezuma Castle National Monument. Cruise Canyon Lake on the Dolly Steamboat, explore the Heard Museum for Native American Art & Culture, and tour entire living ecosystems at Biosphere 2. In Tucson, explore the Arizona- Sonora Desert Museum, Old Tucson, and gather for a celebratory Farewell Dinner at Pinnacle Peak in Trail Dust Town.

Rene has been at WAGM for 32 years. He is the Sports Director and Assistant News Director at the station. Rene grew up in Ashland and has always had a passion for sports. He was in middle school when he set a goal of being the voice of the Boston Red Sox. He didn’t reach that goal, but feels that being the voice of Aroostook County and Western New Brunswick sports has been a dream job. He says “It never feels like a job, every day is a new adventure and a chance to tell a story about the area.”
Rene is very active in the county. He has a true passion for Special Olympics. He has served on the Area Management team for almost 30 years and has organized the Cloukey Challenge Golf Tournament to benefit Aroostook Special Olympics for the past 28 years. He has been a member of the Presque Isle Kiwanis Club for the past 24 years.
Rene loves all sports and enjoys attending games at the local and professional level. He is also a history buff and enjoys traveling.
