Day 1 : Fly to Honolulu

We are welcomed to the islands of Aloha with a flower lei greeting before checking in at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for a four-night stay.

Day 2 : Pearl Harbor

After a delicious included breakfast, we pay our respects at the most moving site on Oahu, Pearl Harbor National Memorial. A Navy launch takes us to the USS Arizona Memorial which spans the sunken battleship. Then, E Komo Mai (welcome) new friends and enjoy refreshing beverages during an included Holiday Vacations Welcome Lunch to kick off our lavish vacation.

Day 3 : Agricultural Visits

We start the day at the Dole Pineapple Visitors Center to learn about the various crops of Oahu and history of the pineapple industry. A sweet treat awaits at 21 Degrees Estate, a working chocolate farm. During our tour we learn all about cacao harvesting and how a “ripe chocolate pod” becomes the delicious treat we all enjoy. Delight in dark chocolate samples highlighting the distinct flavor of craft chocolate. We also see the estate’s honey operation and taste the farm’s acclaimed “Kahalu’u Gold” light-floral honey.

Day 4 : Oahu

Today is your opportunity to explore everything Oahu has to offer. Hike Diamond Head crater, go on an outrigger canoe ride, snorkel, or dive deeper into Hawaiian history and culture at Bishop Museum and the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Day 5 : Volcanoes National Park

This morning we fly to Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. We stop for a delicious lunch just outside Volcanoes National Park. Once inside, pause along the way to appreciate dramatic overlooks and the visitor center. The unique park landscape features volcanic craters, dried lava flows, and steam vents. Marvel at the geologic wonder while walking Black Sand Beach, then check in to Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 6 : Salt Farm Tour & the Big Island

Start with a fascinating tour of Kona Sea Salt’s farm, seven acres of oceanfront land where salt is harvested from the deep, pristine Pacific Ocean waters. Next, visit the Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company to sample macadamia nuts and learn more about the growth and harvesting process. This afternoon is free to explore more of the Big Island on your own. For example: tour a coffee plantation, visit historic Kailua Village or Kona’s Mokuaikaua Church, the oldest Christian church in Hawaii.

Day 7 : Waimea Canyon

Fly this morning to Kauai, known as the Garden Isle for its lush landscapes. Following an included lunch we are invited to sample coffee at the Kauai Coffee Company’s Visitor Center, the country’s largest coffee grower. Next we're off to witness the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Waimea Canyon. This vast gorge is a striking palette of red rock and emerald green vegetation. We stay at the lavish Kauai Beach Resort for two nights.

Day 8 : Kauai

The island of Kauai is regarded as the second-wettest place on Earth with an annual rainfall on Mt. Waialeale of 460 inches! Take time to enjoy the tropical greenery and dense vegetation on the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands.

Day 9 : Maui

This morning we fly to Maui and visit the Maui Gold Pineapple Plantation to enjoy a guided tour of the harvesting fields, the packing and shipping factory, and sample fresh pineapple. Next we drive through Lahaina, an old whaling port dotted with historic landmarks, shops, and galleries. The town is especially known for its gigantic Banyan tree with branches spanning an entire city block!

Day 10 : The Valley Isle

Enjoy all the Valley Isle has to offer. Travel the winding Road to Hana, play on a championship golf course, or simply relax by the pool at our luxe accommodations, Maui's Royal Lahaina Resort.

Day 11 : Traditional Luau

The morning and afternoon are yours for relaxation, exploration, and optional adventures such as a whale watching cruise. Tonight, say farewell Hawaiian-style at our hotel’s Myths of Maui luau. Taste exotic flavors and sip tropical beverages before enjoying the music and customary dances of the South Pacific!

Day 12 : Aloha Hawaii

We celebrate our Hawaiian getaway with our new friends at a Holiday Vacations Farewell Lunch at Café O’Lei. Then, explore the Maui Tropical Plantation on a narrated tram tour featuring a live coconut husking demonstration! An overnight flight returns us to the mainland.

Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Growing up on a dairy farm just north of Green Bay, Pam grew up surrounded by agriculture.

Pam’s a past president of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting, been named Farm Broadcaster of the Year and moderated panels for U.S. Ag Secretary’s in the White House. She’s also proudly been honored with many in-state awards including the “Honorary Recognition” award from UW-Madison’s College of Agriculture, and citations from the Wisconsin State Senate.

To date, the Midwest Farm Report network has grown to encompass 26 stations in Wisconsin and Minnesota, and daily appearances on the CBS TV affiliate in Madison as well as her popular “Fabulous Farm Babe” Facebook page.

In her spare time, Pam is active farming in partnership with her brother, sister and mother on the home farm.
