Day 1 : Fly to Honolulu
The moment we step off the plane we will feel the aloha spirit that draws so many travelers to this lush island paradise. Enjoy a traditional flower lei greeting, then check-in to the beautiful Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for three nights. Each room features a private balcony.
Day 2 : Pearl Harbor
Begin the day with a delicious breakfast at the Kuhio Beach Grill. Then we visit the most moving site on Oahu, Pearl Harbor. At the visitor center, we view the galleries and exhibits that recall December 7, 1941, the day that catapulted the U.S. into World War II. A documentary film precedes our Navy launch out to the USS Arizona Memorial to observe the sunken battleship. Enjoy a scenic drive of Oahu’s North Shore before visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center, a festive recreation of Polynesian villages. Learn about the lifestyles, traditions and crafts of six different island cultures as you stroll the tropical grounds and enjoy a tasty barbecue buffet lunch.
Day 3 : Oahu
Today is your opportunity to explore everything Oahu has to offer. Relax on the golden sands of Waikiki Beach, explore Diamond Head crater, mingle with the fish at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, or lose yourself in Honolulu’s downtown ambience. Enjoy dinner at our hotel's Kuhio Beach Grill at your leisure.
Day 4 : Coffee Plantation
Fly this morning to Kauai, known as the Garden Isle for its lush, tropical landscapes. We enjoy an open-air lunch at Kilohana Plantation, a historic landmark built by a sugar baron in 1935 and a remarkable example of plantation-era architecture. Sample coffee at the Kauai Coffee Plantation Visitors Center, the country’s largest coffee grower. We arrive at our accommodations for two nights at the secluded Aqua Kauai Beach Resort on the Eastern Coconut Coast. The charming rooms with private balconies and manicured grounds evoke a true feel for colonial Hawaii.
Day 5 : Kauai
Today we are joined by a representative of the Kauai County Farm Bureau for an interesting look at Kauai’s unique agriculture. Among our stops we visit Hanalei Taro & Juice Company, a 6th generation working taro farm in Hanalei Valley. Lunch is a traditional Hawaiian plate featuring unique items such as kalua pig and chicken lau lau prepared with taro grown on this farm. For the remainder of the day you may wish to take a helicopter tour for birds-eye views of the island’s beauty or simply relax at the hotel. Dinner is included at the hotel's Naupaka Terrace Restaurant.
Day 6 : The “Valley Isle”
This morning we fly to Maui, nicknamed the Valley Isle for the valleys carved into its mountains. Lunch at the Maui Ocean Center offers stunning views of Ma’alaea Bay Harbor. After lunch, there's time to browse the center's unique collection of marine life. Next, we drive to Lahaina, an old whaling port dotted with historical landmarks, shops, and galleries. The town is especially known for its gigantic Banyan tree whose branches reach out over an acre. Later, we arrive at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa for three nights to enjoy 40 oceanfront acres of lavish swimming pools, tropical plants, shopping, and multiple dining options. We have easy access to long beaches from here and a luxurious private balcony in your room.
Day 7 : Maui Gold Pineapples
Travel to upcountry Maui and visit the Maui Gold Pineapple Company. Enjoy a guided tour of the pineapple fields, the packing and shipping factory, and sample fresh pineapples. We return to our hotel and enjoy our afternoon and evening at leisure. Consider a stroll along Ka’anapali Beach whose three miles of gorgeous sand are often cited as one of the world’s best beaches.
Day 8 : Traditional Luau
Relax and enjoy a day of leisure or wake up early to watch the sunrise from the summit of Haleakala, House of the Sun. A pleasant stroll from the hotel leads to Whalers Village, an inviting area of shops, dining, and live entertainment. Tonight, say farewell Hawaiian-style at the Drums of the Pacific Luau and Polynesian Show. Enjoy tropical drinks and the exotic flavors of native Hawaiian cuisine. Our evening ends with music and dances of the South Pacific!
Day 9 : Aloha Hawaii
After a leisurely morning we celebrate our tropical vacation at a Holiday Vacations Farewell Lunch, then explore the Maui Tropical Plantation, a major producer of pineapple, papaya, mango, and more. Later, we board our flight back to the mainland.
Day 10 : Arrive Home
A Hui Hou (until we meet again).

A passionate dairy farmer, Inga owns and operates a small organic dairy farm near Osseo, Wisconsin.
When she’s not setting up pastures for their cows to graze, milking the 15 Jerseys, making cheese with her father, or indulging her passions for gardening and cooking, Inga collaborates with her team to develop narratives for Around the Farm Table on Wisconsin Public Television. After growing up on her family’s dairy farm on the West Coast and making cheese on the East Coast, she is thrilled to now be in the middle of the country, home to truly happy cows, and a vibrant agriculture all of which she loves to celebrate on Around the Farm Table.
