Day 1 : Fly to New York
We board our pleasant flight to New York City for two nights. Our accommodations are in the Times Square area with a variety of dining and shopping experiences.
Day 2 : New York City
An expert local guide joins us this morning to see the famous landmarks of Manhattan including Central Park, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Wall Street and Greenwich Village. The afternoon is free for activities of our choosing. Ask your Tour Director for suggestions on where to go and what to see. This evening we enjoy an included dinner followed by Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
Day 3 : Radio City Music Hall
Go behind-the-scenes on a tour of Radio City Music Hall and get an insider’s view of the most iconic theater in New York, where the biggest names in show business perform! Later, we board the Norwegian Escape for the first evening of our seven-night cruise with fine dining and entertainment.
Day 4 : At Sea
The sparkling Norwegian Escape is the perfect ship to enjoy a day at sea. Take the day to relax or enjoy the many activities on board. All meals are included aboard ship.
Day 5 : St. John
St. John is the largest city in the Canadian province of New Brunswick and is the oldest incorporated city in the country. The city is situated along the north shore of the Bay of Fundy, famous for its tremendous discrepancy between its high and low tides. St. John’s city market is the oldest market in North America, built in 1867.
Day 6 : Halifax
Today the ship docks in Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia and one of the first English cities in Canada. Its vast harbor extends 16 miles inland. Today we enjoy an included excursion to the picturesque fishing village of Peggy’s Cove followed by time to explore Halifax on our own.
Day 7 : Bar Harbor
Located on the shores of Mount Desert Island and sitting on the entrance to Acadia National Park is the resort town of Bar Harbor, Maine. The incredible scenery of the region transformed the area into a popular resort for such notables as John D. Rockefeller and Joseph Pulitzer around the turn of the 20th century.
Day 8 : Portland
Portland is Maine’s largest city. This eclectic coastal community is known for unspoiled landscapes, succulent lobster, and its stately lighthouse. You may choose to explore the Old Port Historic District which features a variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries.
Day 9 : At Sea
Enjoy the facilities and amenities of the Norwegian Escape. Relax on deck in comfortable lounges. Revel in the benefits and enjoy the included amenities of our grand sailing vessel. This evening we gather together with fellow travelers for a private reception.
Day 10 : Fly Home
We arrive in New York City early this morning and disembark the ship. After transferring to the airport, we fly home with wonderful memories of our cruise experience.

Ron Brown retired in 2015 from NewsWatch 12.
Ron graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Radio and Television. After college, Ron went into the military for three years, and spent 16 months in Vietnam and six months in Wurzburg, Germany.
Ron started his career in broadcasting in 1980 at KRWQ Radio in Gold Hill as the station’s news anchor. He started at NewsWatch 12 in 1986. Ron anchored NewsWatch 12 This Morning since its very first broadcast until his retirement. After the newscasts, Ron covered stories all across Southern Oregon and Northern California. Ron has traveled the world covering the news, reporting on stories in Vietnam and Russia, where he’s gone three times. Ron enjoys history, working in the yard and traveling to visit family in Utah, Idaho, Southern California and Central Oregon.
Ron lives in Gold Hill with his wife, Judee. Ron and Judee have three children, who are all married with families of their own.
