Day 1 : Fly to Boston

Our adventure begins with a pleasant flight to Boston and check-in to a comfortable hotel for two nights.

Day 2 : Freedom Trail Tour

Today we discover Boston, steeped in America’s colonial history and one of the focal cities of the American Revolution. We join an 18th-century historical guide on a tour of the Freedom Trail, learning about the important events that shaped the city and our country. Visit the Granary Burying Ground, where some of America’s most notable citizens rest, including Paul Revere and Samuel Adams; and see the Old North Church, where signal lanterns ignited the American Revolution.

Enjoy lunch on your own and time to explore Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Quincy Market, a National Historic Landmark.

This afternoon we visit the Boston Tea Party Museum. History comes alive as we enjoy presentations from costumed actors, engaging interactive exhibits, and authentically restored tea ships.

This evening we enjoy a special Holiday Vacations Welcome Dinner.

Day 3 : JFK Library & Set Sail

We begin our final day in Boston at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library. Enjoy a documentary film and exhibits providing insight into the Kennedy Era, with personal and historic artifacts shedding light on the life and times of JFK and his family.

Later, we board our elegant Holland America ship for a scenic seven-night cruise. Enjoy the luxurious amenities onboard including exceptional dining and entertainment options. All meals are included aboard ship.

Day 4 : Bar Harbor

Located on the shores of Mount Desert Island and sitting on the entrance to Acadia National Park is the resort town of Bar Harbor, Maine. The incredible scenery of the region transformed the area into a popular destination for notables John D. Rockefeller and Joseph Pulitzer. Optional shore excursions include visits to iconic lighthouses of the area or a traditional lobster bake.

Day 5 : Halifax

This morning we dock in Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia and one of the first English cities in Canada. Its vast harbor extends 16 miles inland.

Today we enjoy an included excursion to the picturesque fishing village of Peggy’s Cove followed by time to explore Halifax on our own.

Day 6 : Sydney

We arrive in Sydney, Nova Scotia, today to take in the area’s stunning coastal scenery. You may choose to stroll through town and explore the city’s historic houses and churches dating from the 1700s, or participate in an optional excursion to the beautiful Cabot Trail or Fortress of Louisbourg.

Day 7 : Charlottetown

Our port today is Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island. This capital city offers vintage architecture on Victoria Row, tranquil parks, and unmatched harborside beauty. Nearby Price Edward Island National Park is legendary for its sweeping vistas and as the inspiration for Anne of Green Gables.

Day 8 : Scenic Cruising

Enjoy a relaxing day cruising the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Unwind on one of the spacious decks in a comfortable personal lounge or revel in the included amenities and entertainment featured onboard. This afternoon we gather for a private reception.

Known as the cultural capital of Canada, this vibrant city offers dining, shopping, and history with a European flair. We tour the city with a knowledgeable local guide highlighted by the ornate interior of Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. Then take time to explore historic Old Montreal.
