Bob’s broadcast career began in 1973 as a camera operator at KTEN-TV in Ada, Oklahoma. In 1975, Bob broke into AM radio when he was hired at Rock Jock in Lawton, Oklahoma.
After college Bob ventured out of broadcast to a vending firm, but radio was in his blood and after a year, he returned to Lawton, and his first love, radio. Bob started reporting the weekend weather at KSWO-TV and in 1984, KTVQ offered him an opportunity.
In 1986, Bob married his lovely wife, Lynn Shays. Then he accepted a position at KOMO-TV in Seattle. After two years in Seattle, Bob returned to Montana where he remained at KTVQ for 24 years through his retirement in 2020.
