Day 1 : Fly to New York City

We begin our wonderful Thanksgiving getaway with a relaxing flight to New York City. Our superb accommodations for the next five evenings are at the Novotel New York Times Square. From this centrally-located hotel we may experience the excitement of Times Square and easily explore the city’s best-known attractions, museums, and shops.

Day 2 : New York City Tour & Float Inflation Viewing

We awake this morning and enjoy a delicious breakfast at our hotel. A local guide joins us for a tour of The Big Apple where the sights and sounds of New York City during Thanksgiving are truly a magical experience! See the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, and so much more. Our Holiday Vacations Welcome Lunch is at the Porter House Bar & Grill, just across the street from Central Park. Travel to the American Museum of Natural History where we have a special opportunity to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade balloons inflate in preparation for tomorrow’s parade celebration. We return to our hotel with dinner and the evening on our own.

Day 3 : Thanksgiving Parade & The Rockettes

Our luxurious hotel is two blocks from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade route, providing us a golden opportunity to be a part of the famous celebration. Operating yearly since 1924, we’ll be witness to one of the longest-running Thanksgiving Day parades in the country. In the afternoon we are guests at The Radio City Christmas Spectacular® starring the world-famous Radio City Rockettes®. Enjoy the flawless precision of 140 people while they sing and dance in the legendary Parade of Wooden Soldiers. Debuting in 1933, the show is both brilliantly grand and genuinely moving, a glittering combination of old favorites and new delights. Join your traveling companions for a delightful Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings and share with one another the things you are thankful for.

Day 4 : New York at Leisure & Broadway Musical

We have the day to explore New York City at our leisure. Shop at the iconic Macy’s store on 34th Street complete with holiday decorations, and visit the other holiday markets at Columbus Circle or Bryant Park, take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Central Park, or explore one of the city’s many museums. Your friendly Tour Director will have many suggestions to consider. This evening we visit New York’s Theater District and see a show on Broadway!

Day 5 : 9/11 Museum & One World Observatory

We begin our day at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum where we view galleries and exhibits that recall one of the most pivotal days in the history of our country. Take time to stroll the plaza and see the memorial’s twin reflecting pools. Next, ascend the One World Trade Center, also known as Freedom Tower, to its observatory more than 1,200 feet above street level and see the city skyline like you’ve never seen it before. The observatory also includes remarkable audio-visual displays and activities that shed light on the history of Lower Manhattan. We return to our hotel with dinner and the evening on our own.

Day 6 : Fly Home

Fly home with spectacular memories of our Thanksgiving vacation in New York City.
