Best Accommodations in Ireland

On every Holiday Vacations tour we carefully select our hotel accommodations to meet the high standards and service that you deserve. We strive to find hotels in ideal locations that are close to restaurants and shopping or in unique and exciting places. Not only do we find the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring the best attractions, we take care of the heavy lifting too. You can rest assured your bag will arrive safely to your room as you take time to wind down or continue your explorations.

Our Enchanting Ireland tour is no exception to the rule. Our expert tour crafters spend a lot of time making sure every element of your tour is met with perfection, including your nightly accommodations. Let’s learn more about where we stay on the Emerald Isle.

The Galmont Hotel & Spa, Galway

Ideally located, the Galmont Hotel & Spa stands right in the heart of Galway. With spanning views of Galway Bay, a rest on the patio is the perfect place to take in refreshing breezes off the water. We stay two nights at this wonderful property allowing lots of time to discover the many amenities offered, including the stylish Coopers Bar & Lounge, the award-winning Spirit One Spa, or state-of-the-art gym. Quite possibly the best part about this hotel is the few minutes’ walk to city centre, including Eyre Square and Quay Street. Here you will find the streets bustling with nightlife and brimming with Irish culture and music. It won’t take long to find yourself nestled up in a local pub enjoying the sounds of local musicians playing Irish favorites and current hits. And when the time comes to shut your eyes, you’ll be spoiled with Egyptian cotton linens, hypo-allergenic pillows, and blackout curtains – all the makings for the perfect night’s sleep.

The Savoy Hotel, Limerick City

After a long day exploring the Cliffs of Moher and a festive evening filled with song and dance (and perhaps a little mead) at Medieval banquet, The Savoy is the perfect place to wind down. This luxurious boutique hotel is located right in the heart of Limerick, and one block from the River Shannon. The hotel itself is brimming with style and character, with ultra-plush furnishings, and a sleek, modern charm. Indulge in a night cap and try one of The Savoy Hotel Bar’s famous signature cocktails on the heated terrace or perhaps set out in search of more Irish song and dance at a local pub. You won’t have to travel far! When your eyes start getting heavy, find great pleasure in your plush mattress, soft sheets, and fluffy pillows. Breakfast the next morning is a real treat. With linen service and exceptionally attentive staff, your morning could not start off on a better foot. It features a buffet of yogurts, fruits, fresh baked goodies, cold meats, and much more, but also the opportunity to order straight off the menu. The Eggs Florentine is divine!

Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa, Killarney

From the moment we pull up to the Killarney Plaza Hotel, you’ll be showered with grace and glamor. This classic hotel offers several dining options as well as an indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, fitness room, and day spa. Perfectly located, overlooking Killarney National Park and in the town centre, you can’t go wrong finding activities to keep you entertained during your free time. St. Mary’s Cathedral, Muckross House, several parks, lots of shopping, and dining options are an easy walk. As you step outside the front doors you’ll awake the senses of yesteryear as jaunting carts weave in and out of the picturesque roundabout. In fact, we will hop on our very own jaunting cart for a tour of the beautiful national park right from our hotel. As usual, you can expect a wonderful night’s sleep both nights being lavished with plush bedding.

Lyrath Estate, Kilkenny

The Lyrath Estate is a stunning hotel located on 170 acres of picturesque lakes, gardens, and woodlands. You’ll find yourself awe-struck as we pull up and the 17th Century Estate House greets us elegantly among the breathtaking surroundings, giving way to the dramatic contemporary hotel extension offering a stunning architectural ying and yang. There will be plenty of time to get out and explore the breathtaking property and grounds. Many of the rooms in the estate are still furnished in period décor, and just waiting for you to cozy up and enjoy your surroundings. Just be forewarned, the resident golden retrievers may swing by for a quick ear scratch. You may find yourself splashing in the indoor pool, treating yourself to a spa treatment, or grabbing a quick bite or refreshment at one of the several drink and dining options located on site. Be sure not to indulge too much. Dinner is included at your leisure tonight, and the menu choices will not disappoint!

Dunboyne Castle Hotel, Dunboyne

The Dunboyne Castle Hotel is rich in history, originally home to The Butlers of Dunboyne. Sadly, the original castle was destroyed during the Cromwellian invasion of Ireland when the family
refused to convert to Protestantism. In 1764 the Georgian house we see today was built as a replacement. You can still find the original ornamental stucco plasterwork on several of the ceilings as you explore this fascinating property. Nestled on 21 acres and a short walk to the village of Dunboyne, there will be plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs. On our final evening in Ireland we will enjoy a traditional Holiday Vacations Farewell Dinner at the hotel and reminisce in the many lifelong memories made on our Enchanting Ireland adventure.
