Casual for a Cause

A Continued Tradition to Raise Money for Local Non-Profits

Casual for a Cause Caring & Sharing One of the many ways Holiday Vacations employees raise money for local charities every year is through our Casual for a Cause program. Once a month, employees may choose to donate $5.00 towards that month’s cause and enjoy the benefit of being able to dress casually for one day. As we break-through into a new year we would like to reflect our efforts and recognize the charities we supported this way. In all, we raised $1,430.00 for charities in 2019!

•  Donations made January – March supported the American Cancer Society, raising $420.00.

•  Donations made April – June supported the Ronald McDonald House Charities, raising $335.00.

•  Donations made July – September supported the Alzheimer’s Association, raising $295.00.

•  Donations made October – December supported Bob’s House for Dogs, raising $380.00.

Looking forward into 2020, the Holiday Vacations family voted on the four charities we will support through our Casual for a Cause program. Feed my People, a locally organized food bank helps fight hunger in west-central Wisconsin and is devoted to ending hunger in the area. American Cancer Society is dedicated to eliminating cancer, but is also available for emotional support, rides, places to stay when your treatments are far away from home, and to provide the latest cancer information. Alzheimer’s Association is dedicated to eliminating Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia through continual research, education, and care. Lastly, Sharing Hope Chippewa Valley – Suicide Prevention, which is a partnership between Prevent Suicide Chippewa Valley and NAMI Chippewa Valley. Together these two organizations host the annual Share Hope Walk, and fight to prevent suicide by educating and increasing the public’s awareness about mental illness.
