Holiday Vacations Helps Fight Hunger With Handmade Masterpieces

Holiday Vacations’ Guest Services Department gathered for a night of artistry and camaraderie to help a good cause. Employees, along with their children and companions, volunteered their time to partake in a ceramics class to create handmade masterpieces that will be donated to the Empty Bowls annual event. These bowls will be on display and up for grabs during the Empty Bowls Luncheon, Feed My People’s largest fundraising event of the year.

Handmade Masterpieces

Empty Bowls is an annual event hosted by Feed My People Food Bank, whose mission is to eliminate hunger in Western Wisconsin. Community members, area art students, and local professionals donate their unique ceramic bowl creations to be browsed throughout the event. Tickets can be purchased with or without a bowl and kids age 10 and under eat for free. Proceeds help thousands of people struggling with hunger in our communities.

What’s on the menu? Beverages, mouth-watering soups, specialty breads, and delectable deserts, which are all donated by area restaurants.
