In Skagway, we embark on a historic rail journey aboard White Pass & Yukon Route Railway to follow the gold rush path through remote areas that are otherwise inaccessible. With a plethora of optional excursions available, from regional cooking lessons to whale watching, there’s also time to pursue individual explorations at each port. Cruising into Dishenchantment Bay, sit back and take in the grandeur of North America’s largest tidewater glacier during time cruising at Hubbard Glacier. Day 2 : Tour Seattle
After breakfast we’re off to explore the vibrant “Emerald City” with a guided tour. Soak up the iconic landmarks, rich culture, and intriguing history as we journey throughout this area known as the jewel of the Pacific Northwest. We stop at the Museum of Flight to marvel at one of the biggest air and space collections in the country and enjoy an included lunch. Take the remainder of the evening at leisure.
Day 3 : Board the Norwegian Spirit
This morning we enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing to Vancouver, Canada. We board our cruise ship, Norwegian Cruise Line’s newly remodeled and luxurious Spirit. Our rooms are beautifully appointed and feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading out to a private balcony. All meals are included onboard, beginning with today’s lunch. Your Tour Director will host dinner on several evenings, allowing fellow travelers to get to know one another.

Today is the perfect opportunity to become acquainted with all the ship’s fabulous amenities as we have a full day at sea. Delight your taste buds with a wide variety of culinary options, attend a comedy show inside Stardust Theatre, listen to a live musical performance, try your luck at their award-winning casino, pamper yourself with a spa treatment, or simply soak up peaceful, breathtaking views with a cocktail on your private balcony.
Day 5 : Icy Strait Point
Experience “wild Alaska” in Icy Strait Point, where the wildlife outnumbers the human population. This is the only port of call in the entire state that is privately owned, allowing all tourism profits to support this town and the indigenous people that have called it home for thousands of years. You may choose to take a short walk to the Historic Museum & Cannery to shop local crafts, learn about the Huna Tlingit culture, and indulge in fresh fish and chips. You can also purchase one of the many optional excursions including whale watching, cooking lessons, a Jeep adventure, and more.
Day 6 : Juneau
Today’s port of call is Alaska’s capital, Juneau. This city can only be reached by air or sea due to its natural setting between the waters of Gastineau Channel, coastal mountains, and forest. Take this opportunity to pursue individual explorations such as a self-guided walking tour of the downtown area or an optional excursion to soak up the breathtaking sights, including Mendenhall Glacier.
Day 7 : Skagway
Step back in history today as we dock in Skagway, once a booming town serving thousands of stampeders during the Klondike Gold Rush. Nestled within the St. Elias Mountains, this area has a plethora of beautiful scenery and intriguing history for you to discover. Enjoy an included shore excursion aboard the White Pass and Yukon Route Railway. This historic journey follows the gold rush path through remote areas with incredible panoramas of glaciers, mountains, and waterfalls. There is also time for a walk into town to tour the Skagway Museum & Archives, visit the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park Visitor Center, or venture on a scenic bike ride.
Day 8 : Hubbard Glacier
Get your camera ready as we cruise into Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve today to view North America’s largest tidewater glacier and one of Alaska’s most iconic natural wonders, Hubbard Glacier. Enjoy up-close views as we watch this highly active glacier calve, sending large pieces of ice into the waters. We may also see harbor seals resting on the broken ice chunks, along with other fantastic wildlife!
Day 9 : Keystone Canyon, Valdez
We dock along Prince William Sound in Valdez today, another area rich with gold rush history and awe-inspiring beauty of dramatic landscapes and extraordinary wildlife. Head into town to learn more about the historic gold rush or the town’s relocation, browse charming shops, and taste savory seafood dishes. You may also choose to explore this wilderness further and purchase an optional excursion.
Day 10 : Disembark & Anchorage
We disembark the ship in Seward this morning and board our comfortable motorcoach for a relaxing drive to Anchorage. En route, we stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to take a stroll through the sanctuary and come face-to-face with majestic wildlife. Upon arriving in Anchorage, we gather at Bridge Seafood to enjoy a delicious Farewell Lunch with fellow travelers to celebrate our Alaskan adventure. We then pay a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center to immerse ourselves in the culture of Alaska’s indigenous people and learn more about their history. This evening we head home on an overnight flight.
Day 11 : Arrive Home
We return home with fond memories of our time in the Last Frontier.
