TOURtales - Dave L.

Some of the most picturesque scenery in all of North America is located in a small area in southern Utah and Northern Arizona. You have a chance of seeing rocks, valleys, canyons and mountain features on this wonderful tour. This tour is my favorite domestic destination as every day there is something new and exciting to see. In fact, it seems every day keeps getting better and better. It is the phenomenon of the many displays of natural arches carved by wind and rain in the red stone of Arches National Park. We also will see why many people have viewed the backdrops of buttes and mesas of Monument Valley in Western Movies. A chance to stay right in the National Parks of Grand Canyon and Zion give us unique opportunities to view these majestic canyons during the day and also at sunset. The awesome Grand Canyon vistas and views will be remembered by all and in Zion a whole new perspective of this beautiful canyon is seen from the floor of the canyon looking up to the majestic features of the walls surrounding us. Our last scenic park is Bryce with its captivating views of arches, pillars and spires. There is more than just physical scenery as we enjoy a visit to the Tabernacle Choir, learn about Western Folklore and the life the Navajo Indians.
