- Day 5: Mile 0 of the Alaska HighwayWe begin with breakfast at the hotel before journeying through the expansive scenery and rolling foothills of Canada. After pausing for lunch at a local diner, we revisit the past at Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, where immersive exhibits reveal the creatures that once roamed this land. Continue to Dawson Creek to find “Mile 0,” the official starting point of the Alaska highway. This route was built as a wartime supply road during World War II! Tonight, we settle into our accommodations for an evening at leisure. Unwind at the hotel, stop by a gallery, or indulge in a beer at a nearby pub.

After checking in to our hotel in Whitehorse, the remainder of the evening is at your leisure. - Day 10: White Pass & Yukon Route RailroadAll aboard! Today, we set out on a unique rail journey aboard the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. Departing from Fraser, the iconic train climbs into dramatic alpine terrain and descends toward Skagway, tracing a route carved during the Klondike Gold Rush. On the way, we cross trestle bridges, wind through narrow tunnels, and travel through soaring mountain passes while taking in gorgeous views. Enjoy some time to soak up the old-world character of Skagway at your leisure. In the early evening, we return to Whitehorse and settle back into our accommodations, leaving the rest of the night wide open for discovery.

Today’s route follows the edge of the park; keep an eye open for wildlife roaming this corner of Canada. This afternoon, we reach Tok and settle into our accommodations before a satisfying meal at Fast Eddy’s. The evening is free to explore Tok at your leisure.

- Day 12: Milepost 1422 & Santa Claus HouseFollowing breakfast, we hit a major milestone as we reach the end of the Alaska Highway at Milepost 1422. From here, we travel into North Pole for a leisurely lunch before visiting the Santa Claus House, a whimsical attraction with local souvenirs, festive décor, and holiday gifts. Later, gain further insight into Interior Alaska — the vast inland region of Alaska centered around Fairbanks — at Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center. Today, we traverse the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel to Whittier and board the Glacier Quest Cruise. As we glide through Prince William Sound, cascading waterfalls, towering cliffs, and massive glaciers create a gorgeous backdrop. Lunch is served aboard the ship, allowing time to watch for marine life along the shoreline. Afterwards, we return to Anchorage and get together for a Farewell Dinner, capping off this unforgettable getaway with new friendships and lots of laughter.
