Nestled between the River Derwent and Mount Wellington, it’s known for its rich maritime history, vibrant arts scene, and historic sites. During a guided tour in nearby Richmond, stroll across Australia’s oldest bridge still in use, originally named Bigges Bridge. The next day starts with an eco-cruise along the picturesque coastline of rugged Tasman National Park. Enjoy vistas of towering sea cliffs, the iconic Tasman Arch, and abundant wildlife. We then visit the beautiful Port Arthur, a UNESCO World Heritage site. On our final day, we walk above the ancient treetops at Tahune Forest Airwalk with bird’s-eye views of the vast Huon River Valley below and see the impressive craftsmanship of boatbuilding come to life at the Wooden Boat Center.

What would a voyage to Australia be without a visit to its greatest natural wonder? The reef is one of the country’s greatest national treasures and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, stretching more than 1,200 miles along the coast. Dolphins, whales, dugongs, sea turtles, and over 1,500 species of fish call this place their home. Enjoy a swim, snorkel, semi-submersible observatory, glass-bottom boat ride, and helicopter flight.

Board a historic train for an awe-inspiring journey through Barron Gorge National Park in Far North Queensland’s World Heritage-listed rainforest. Travel through narrow valleys between steep hillsides with cascading waterfalls while taking in views of otherworldly beauty that can only be witnessed on this railway. We also enjoy a stop at tropical Kuranda Village to browse local goods at its famous markets.
