- Day 4: Cairns & Rainforest Cultural ExperienceAfter breakfast, we board a flight to Cairns in Far North Queensland, the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Upon arrival, we enjoy some brief sightseeing to learn about the city’s most prominent attractions. Then, our drive continues along Captain Cook Highway with expert commentary en route to Port Douglas, a tropical paradise nestled between the Daintree Rainforest and the Coral Sea. Our stunning resort along the white sands of Four Mile Beach is famous for its tropical gardens, diverse restaurants, and palm-fringed, lagoon-style pools. - Day 5: Great Barrier Reef & Port DouglasThis morning, we set sail from Port Douglas Marina for an unforgettable, full-day Great Barrier Reef adventure. Stretching over 1,200 miles, this UNESCO World Heritage-listed natural wonder is the world’s largest living organism! We cruise to the Low Isles, a secluded coral island that offers a unique glimpse into the region’s past. Led by an expert marine biologist, we go below the surface on a guided snorkeling tour for the incredible opportunity to swim alongside sea turtles and colorful reef fish. For those who prefer to stay dry, enjoy mesmerizing views of the vibrant coral gardens from the glass-bottom boat! Our afternoon includes a delicious buffet lunch, views of the 1878 lighthouse, and a heritage walk to discover the ecological and cultural significance of the Low Isles. Later, we return to our hotel for an evening at leisure.

- Day 6: Daintree Rainforest & Cape TribulationToday, we venture deep into the heart of UNESCO World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest. Dating back 180 million years, it’s the world’s oldest tropical rainforest and home to endangered species like tree-kangaroos. An Indigenous guide welcomes us with a traditional ceremony before our cultural tour through Mossman Gorge. As we walk along lush rainforest trails, we listen to Dreamtime stories, learn about bush medicines, and enjoy a taste of damper, a classic Australian bush bread. Our captivating journey continues with a cruise along the Daintree River, one of the world’s most densely populated mangrove estuaries, where we may see crocodiles, exotic birds, and other wildlife. Inhabited by the local Aboriginal Anangu people for over 22,000 years, this sacred site reveals ancient cultural traditions during our guided tour. As the day winds down, we experience the magic of the Red Centre at sunset with the world’s largest sandstone monolith as our vibrant backdrop. - Day 12: Phillip Island’s Koalas & PenguinsThis morning, we stroll Melbourne’s iconic laneways and arcades with a local guide to explore the city’s hidden gems, from quirky cafés and independent boutiques to striking street art and historic architecture. We also indulge in a chocolate tasting! Our next destination is the western coast of Phillip Island to soak in breathtaking ocean vistas. Later in the afternoon, we stop at the Koala Conservation Centre for close-up views of koalas dozing and munching on eucalyptus leaves in their natural habitat. After dinner, we experience one of Australia’s most heartwarming wildlife encounters with the world’s smallest penguins at the Penguin Parade. After landing, we enjoy a tour featuring sights of sandstone buildings, bustling waterfront precincts, and charming neighborhoods as we make our way to our centrally located hotel. Take time to settle in before we head to one of Hobart’s most breathtaking vantage points, Mount Wellington or Mount Nelson, where we sip on a glass of Tasmanian wine while soaking in unbeatable views of the city and the Derwent River. The evening is at leisure.

- Day 15: Bruny IslandToday’s adventure is the award-winning Bruny Island Traveller tour, a full day exploration of culinary and scenic wonders on one of Tasmania’s most stunning islands. We then soak in striking 360-degree views of the island’s narrow isthmus from The Neck Lookout. Our discoveries continue with a stroll through the Mavista Rainforest for a chance to seek out rare white wallabies! Afterwards, we celebrate our travels at Frogmore Creek Winery with a Farewell Lunch of seasonal Tasmanian cuisine and award-winning wines among stunning vineyards. Later, we board our flight back to Melbourne and settle into accommodations conveniently located within walking distance of the airport terminal.
