Revel in the opportunity to safely observe polar bears in their natural habitat, relaxing among fireweed and foraging for food, or feel the thrill of one coming right up to our vehicle and greeting you on the spacious outer viewing deck! These Arctic giants can grow up to ten feet high and 1,600 pounds, making them the ultimate predator among other wildlife we may see, such as Arctic foxes, ptarmigans, and caribou. A highlight of this summer excursion may be seeing cubs interacting with their mom!

As we sail along the coastline aboard the Matonabee, the planet’s only Arctic touring vessel with underwater viewing, freely roam among three decks for unique experiences on each. Head to the top deck for panoramic views of polar bears lounging on the shore. On the middle deck, relax inside with large windows or walk the deck in search of playful beluga whales.
