Grand Canyon National Park
Carved over six million years ago through geologic processes of erosion and active tectonics, this UNESCO World Heritage Site stretches nearly 300 miles along the Colorado River and up to one mile deep. There have been over 3,000 ancestral sites dating to the prehistoric period found here. Due to the Grand Canyon’s wide variety of ecosystems, it also boasts nearly 450 species of birds along with bighorn sheep, bison, elk, and more. Zion National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park
With a vertical distance of over 2,000 feet, this park features diverse landscapes due to its three distinct climate zones. Watch for wildlife including mule deer, mountain lions, and golden eagles while admiring the endless scenic vistas. The horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters that have been formed by nature are wonders to behold, but the famous hoodoos, or colorful spires of rock, are what draw in visitors from all over.
