While roaming through the city, our guide unveils tales of the American West. This afternoon, we trek to Carson City for a guided tour of Nevada’s capital. Tree-lined streets and stately government buildings reflect the city’s rich pioneer and political heritage. After returning to our hotel in Reno to freshen up, we get together for a mouthwatering dinner at Red’s Old 395 Grill, famous for its welcoming Western charm and hearty fare.

Next, we make our way to Gardnerville for a Basque-style lunch at the iconic JT BASQUE Bar & Dining Room, a 60+ year-old restaurant known for its multi-course family-style meals and electrifying Picon punch — the official state drink of Nevada. Later, we return to Reno and settle into our hotel before an evening at leisure. You may choose to check out the Burning Man sculptures, grab a bite to eat at one of Midtown’s restaurants, or try your luck at a nearby casino.

- Day 6: Lake TahoeOur day promises unforgettable adventures this morning in the Lake Tahoe region, beginning with a scenic drive along the breathtaking Mount Rose Highway. As you cross the summit, take in views of the crystal-clear waters and alpine scenery set against the Sierra Nevada. At midday, we board the M.S. Dixie II for a picturesque cruise across Lake Tahoe’s deep blue waters. Gaze at Vikingsholm Castle and learn about the history of Tahoe while enjoying the “Best Cruise in Nevada.” After the cruise, we continue our journey around Lake Tahoe along the scenic California side of the lake, stopping in charming lakeside communities along the way before returning to the hotel later this evening.
