Upon arriving in San Antonio, we settle in for a comfortable two-night stay near the iconic River Walk.

Each morning of our vacation begins with an included breakfast. Today, an expert guide boards our motorcoach for an enriching exploration of three of San Antonio’s most significant historic sites: Mission San José, known as Queen of the Missions; World Heritage Center, where exhibits bring the story of the missions to life; and Mission Concepción, the oldest unrestored stone church in the United States. Along the way, gain deeper insight into the lives and traditions of the region’s Indigenous peoples. This afternoon, we get to know fellow travelers over a Welcome Lunch at the elegantly restored Guenther House before exploring the grounds of The Alamo, where we recount pivotal moments from the historic 13-day siege. Our day concludes with an entertaining flatboat cruise along the San Antonio River Walk, offering a unique perspective of the city and captivating stories from its past.

This afternoon, feel the spirit of yesteryear at the historic Houmas House Estate and Gardens in Darrow, nestled along a bend in the Mississippi River. We savor a traditional Louisiana dish, crafted with locally grown produce for a farm-to-table experience, before our tour of the early 1800s Greek-revival mansion.
