Cruise Stykkisholmur Harbor along the Snaefellsnes Peninsula to Breidafjordur Bay. Marvel at the power of nature in the highly active Geysir Hot Spring area with boiling mud pits and the ground steaming from volcanic activity. Watch the most notable geyser, Strokkur, erupt every five to ten minutes up to 100 feet in the air! We then enjoy close views of the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, often dubbed the “Golden Falls.” Ranked one of the top ten waterfalls in the world, this two-tiered cascade plunges into a rugged canyon, creating a misty spectacle that shimmers with rainbows on sunny days.

Visit Fridheimar Farm for lunch served inside the working greenhouse, among the same tomato plants used to prepare your delicious meal. Hear about their unique greenhouse horticulture process that allows them to grow four varieties of tomatoes year-round, then witness the magnificent beauty of Icelandic horses. Later, we stop by Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Bakery, where traditional rye bread simmers for 24 hours in the natural heat of a geyser. Watch as the bread is dug from the black sand, then savor a slice while it’s still fresh and warm!

Take a dip into this famous geothermal lagoon filled with silica, algae, and minerals that people enjoy for healing and nourishing skin. The milky-blue water contrasts beautifully with the surrounding black lava fields and creeping grey moss.
