Settle into life on deck as we follow Norway's historic route — blending maritime tradition with modern comfort — and call at small harbors day and night. Ever-changing seascapes, remote fishing villages, and dramatic fjords define the journey as we sail the length of the coast. Lunch onboard showcases the finest locally sourced ingredients as we continue southbound along the rugged shoreline and reach our first port of call in Vardø. Back onboard, enjoy a bite to eat as the MS Polarlys travels southward. As we sail along, admire distant views of the majestic Lyngen Alps and keep watch for whales breaching in the surrounding waters. En route, we pass through historic coastal communities such as Harstad and Stokmarknes, the birthplace of the original Hurtigruten voyage. Weather permitting, the captain may venture into the remarkable Trollfjord, a fjord framed by mountains so close they seem within reach. As the ship glides onward, we pass through Nesna and Sandnessjøen: the gateway to the Helgeland region. The horizon reveals silhouettes of the Seven Sisters mountain range and Torghatten, known for its natural opening carved through solid rock. In the mid-afternoon, we arrive in Brønnøysund, a harbor town framed by coastal life and a bustling marina. We conclude the day in the fishing port of Rørvik in the scenic Vikna archipelago.

Additionally, an excursion to Kristiansten Fortress offers sweeping views of the city. As our ship resumes sailing, we pass small communities and island-dotted waterways prior to a late afternoon call in Kristiansund, known for its fishing heritage and traditional klippfisk production.
