Discover the culture, cuisine, and farming traditions of the Southwest alongside some of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders! Fly into Las Vegas for two evenings to soak up the lively nightlife and embark on a fascinating tour of the Hoover Dam Power Plant. Learn about sustainability in action at Las Vegas Livestock before venturing into Utah and Arizona’s “canyon country” to walk among geological marvels! Relish overnight stays in three beloved national parks: Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Grand Canyon – all International Dark Sky Parks. Then, travel aboard the historic Grand Canyon Railway to Williams, and spend a day celebrating the 100th anniversary of legendary Route 66 with stops in Oatman, Kingman, and Seligman. Continue to Phoenix, where we savor local flavors during a tour at Queen Creek Olive Mill and admire the dramatic beauty of Canyon Lake on a scenic Dolly Steamboat cruise. Our adventure concludes with a celebratory Farewell Dinner and a toast to the memories made!

  • Day 1: Fly to Nevada
    Upon arriving in Las Vegas, we check in to our accommodations and enjoy a leisure day to explore the Entertainment Capital of the World.

  • Day 2: Hoover Dam & Las Vegas
    Our adventure begins with a guided power plant tour at one of the greatest engineering feats of the 20th century: the Hoover Dam. Walk through the original construction tunnels and stand on a platform overlooking a massive penstock as we hear how this colossal structure tamed the mighty Colorado River and fueled the growth of the Southwest. There’s also time to browse exhibits in the visitor center and admire the striking views that frame this modern wonder. Returning to Las Vegas, socialize with fellow travelers over a Welcome Lunch before having the rest of the day free to discover the city’s iconic attractions. Try your luck in a casino, stroll the Strip, catch a dazzling show, or watch live performances on Fremont Street!

  • Day 3: Bryce Canyon National Park
    This morning, we learn about the region’s ranching heritage with a visit to Las Vegas Livestock, a sustainable farming operation that uses state-of-the-art systems to convert food scraps from the city into nutritious livestock feed. Next, our journey continues north towards the remarkable landscapes of southern Utah, stopping for a delicious lunch on our own in Cedar City. Later, we arrive at Bryce Canyon National Park and marvel at the awe-inspiring natural creations, from dramatic red rock amphitheaters to thousands of erosion-sculpted hoodoos. Tonight, we settle into our accommodations located inside the park and enjoy dinner together.

  • Day 4: Zion National Park
    Today, we travel to nearby Zion National Park to explore the impressive landscapes carved by the Virgin River over millions of years. Board a tram to learn the region’s history while viewing soaring cliffs, waterfalls, and rock formations described as thrones, steeples, and cathedrals! You may also visit the museum or stroll along scenic trails, such as the Riverside Walk. Tonight, we settle in for a memorable overnight stay inside the park. Like Bryce Canyon, Zion is an International Dark Sky Park and offers unforgettable stargazing beneath some of the clearest skies in the world.

  • Day 5: Grand Canyon National Park
    We journey to Grand Canyon National Park this morning, stopping in Page, Arizona for an independent lunch before continuing to one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders. Stretching 227 miles along the Colorado River, the canyon varies from four to eighteen miles wide and plunges nearly a mile deep below the South Rim. Relish an overnight stay inside this beloved national park, just a short walk from the canyon’s edge. Watch as the sun paints the canyon in warm hues at sunset, and when night falls, gaze upwards to take in the beauty of countless stars.

  • Day 6: Grand Canyon Railway
    Today, we go behind the scenes with a special Mule Barn Tour and Saddle Making Demonstration, where we meet the skilled saddle maker and farrier who help care for the park's legendary mule teams. Then, all aboard for an exciting adventure on the historic Grand Canyon Railway to Williams, Arizona. Along the way, enjoy lively entertainment as musicians roam the train, playing spirited tunes that bring the landscapes to life with a true Southwestern soundtrack. Relax and view scenery of pine forests, red rock mesas, and wide-open valleys. Later, we check in to our hotel.

  • Day 7: Route 66
    Our day is spent on America’s Mother Road, dotted with quirky towns, neon signs, and roadside charm at every turn. Enjoy brief stops in nostalgic towns like Oatman, where wild burros roam the streets; Kingman, home to Hackberry General Store; and Seligman, widely known as the birthplace of Route 66. There’s time to grab lunch in a classic diner and soak in the sights, souvenirs, and classic Americana that make this stretch of Route 66 unforgettable. In the evening, we return to Williams for a leisurely evening to stroll through historic downtown and shop the quaint stores filled with vintage memorabilia!

  • Day 8: Phoenix
    This morning, we travel towards Phoenix with a stop to stretch our legs in stunning Sedona, where vibrant red rock formations provide a picture-perfect backdrop. Arriving at our destination, we visit the Shops at Norterra for an independent lunch before exploring the Desert Botanical Garden. Stroll scenic trails surrounded by towering saguaros, vibrant wildflowers, and a remarkable collection of desert plants that showcase the beauty and diversity of the Sonoran Desert. Later, we settle into our hotel for a relaxing evening.

  • Day 9: Local Flavors & Steamboat Cruise
    Today, we visit Queen Creek Olive Mill, Arizona’s only working olive farm and mill! Embark on a behind-the-scenes tour to see how these flavorful oils are produced from tree to table, then enjoy a tasting of this local favorite. After lunch on your own, we enjoy a relaxing cruise across Canyon Lake on the Dolly Steamboat. As the paddlewheeler glides between towering canyon walls, soak in breathtaking views of rugged desert landscapes and keep your eyes peeled for bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and other wildlife that call this area home. Later, we return to the hotel to freshen up for our Farewell Dinner to celebrate the memories and friends made.

  • Day 10: Fly Home
    We return home with incredible memories from our Southwest adventure.
