- Day 2: Boone Hall & Downtown CharlestonOur day begins with a tour of Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens. Enjoy a covered wagon tour to see one of America’s oldest working farms in action, then explore the mansion and nine original cabins. Get a moving look at the living quarters, historic relics, and lifestyle of the enslaved that lived here, or attend the powerful presentation on Gullah Culture. Later, we get to know fellow travelers over a delicious Welcome Lunch before our nostalgic horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown Charleston. Take in sights of lovely greenery, quaint houses, wrought-iron balconies, pastel mansions, parks, and churches as we trot through several blocks of the “Holy City.” The rest of the day is yours to visit museums, stroll Rainbow Row, or shop at the historic city market.

- Day 3: Historic Battles & Naval LegendsThis morning, we relax on a cruise to Fort Sumter in the middle of Charleston Harbor. A National Park Service Ranger joins us to share impactful stories, including how the Battle of Fort Sumter marked the beginning of the Civil War. After lunch, we visit Patriot’s Point Naval and Maritime Museum for a tour featuring the Apollo 8 space capsule replica and historic aircraft aboard the USS Yorktown, followed by time to independently explore other exhibits. Later, enjoy another evening to soak up the city’s charm as you wish.

- Day 4: Lowcountry AgricultureToday, we get a deeper look at the thriving agricultural scene with two immersive visits. Our first stop is Charleston Tea Garden, part of the Bigelow Tea family, where we take a trolley ride through rows of tea bushes and stop at the greenhouse to see how new plants are nurtured. We also tour the factory for a behind-the-glass look at the production process from leaf to cup. Later, enjoy a final chance to explore Charleston at your own pace. Savor fresh coastal seafood, take a walk along the waterfront, or uncover more of the city’s rich history.

- Day 5: Savannah Trolley Tour & PralinesWe cross into Georgia today and begin our exploration with a trolley tour of Savannah’s Historic District. Take in the beautiful sights of cobblestone squares shaded by moss-draped oaks, 18th- and 19th-century homes, picturesque waterfront views, and cotton warehouses transformed into hotels, restaurants, and shops. Next, delight in a riverboat luncheon cruise down the Savannah River with a buffet of hearty Southern cuisine. This afternoon, roll up your sleeves for a sweet hands-on experience at Chef Darin’s Table, where we learn the secrets of praline making and sample our creations fresh from the pan. Later, we settle into our hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

- Day 6: Cathedral Basilica & Port of SavannahIndulge in a leisurely morning before heading to Savannah’s City Market, a lively marketplace filled with popular restaurants, art galleries, shops, and more. Our afternoon begins with a guided tour of the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. This Roman Catholic church dates back to the 1800s and has beautiful Gothic Revival architecture, including soaring spires and intricate stained glass. This afternoon, we relax on a private boat tour of the bustling Port of Savannah, the fastest-growing container port on the Eastern Seaboard. As you cruise along the waterways, take in scenic views of marshlands and riverfront landmarks while learning how goods from the Midwest are swiftly transferred by rail and loaded onto ships bound for destinations worldwide. The evening is yours to spend as you wish.

- Day 7: Georgia Peanuts & CottonToday, we say goodbye to the old-time charm of Savannah and journey into Georgia’s farmland for a visit to Hardy Farms Peanuts, a family-run operation that has been perfecting the art of boiled and roasted peanuts for generations. Learn how these beloved Southern snacks are grown, harvested, and prepared, then enjoy a taste. After lunch, we continue to a local cotton farm. Discover how one of the South’s most iconic crops is planted, picked, and processed, and hear about its importance to the region’s economy and culture. Later, we arrive at our hotel in Atlanta and have a leisurely evening.

- Day 8: AtlantaThis morning, we explore the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum. Dive into the life and legacy of our country’s 39th president, from his roots as a Georgia farmer to his global humanitarian work, and see a life-size replica of the Oval Office. Next, enjoy lunch independently at Ponce City Market, a vibrant hub set in a historic Sears building, where food halls, artisan shops, and local vendors showcase Atlanta’s creative spirit and culinary flair. Afterwards, we come face-to-face with marine life at Georgia Aquarium, one of the largest aquariums in the world. Marvel at seven massive galleries featuring hundreds of species, from bottlenose dolphins and hammerhead sharks to African penguins and California sea lions. Tonight, we celebrate our adventure with new friends at a Farewell Dinner.
