A very friendly Ray came near shore to check out all of the human activity. I happened to have my GoPro in hand and was able to capture the interactions above and below the water surface. The Ray sticking out its tongue as it approached my camera was a lucky catch.

A mother elephant and her calf. I can't be sure but it appears the calf is a few hours to a few days old. I was fascinated by the bonding between the two as the calf was leaning on Mom to steady itself while stretching and strengthening its legs, remaining extremely close to her Mom.

Fairbanks, Alaska
We had enjoyed a full day, starting with a great breakfast at Fast Eddie's. We drove to the end of the Alaska Highway, with still 101 miles to our destination, Fairbanks!
We made several wonderful stops throughout the day, finally arriving at our fantastic accommodations for the night!
This particular evening, we were to experience the Alaska Salmon Bake! We were surprised to find out that we had to walk through a tunnel to get there! When we came out into the opening, it was awesome!! There was a wonderful buffet all set up for us!! We enjoyed the fantastic food ( especially the salmon ), and then there was this huge salmon wearing a saddle! I took it as an open invitation to take a ride! After all, how often does one get the opportunity to ride a salmon in Fairbanks, Alaska?!?!
We were there to have fun, and thanks to Holiday Vacations, that's exactly what happened!!!
